The 2015 RAM 2500 comes in multiple body configurations, which allows drivers to customize their truck to best suit their needs. Drivers can pick a two-door regular cab that seats up to three and comes paired to an 8-foot bed; a four-door crew cab that can seat up to six and comes paired to either the 8-foot bed or a 6-foot-4-inch short bed; or the four-door Mega Cab, which seats six in a bigger cabin and comes paired to the 6-foot-4-inch bed. It is offered in three different main trims: Tradesman, SLT, and Laramie. Drivers will also have the choice of a number of sub-trims that add various features and packages.

Standard on most models is a 5.7-liter V8 that generates 383 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. It comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission and is available with either rear-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel drive. Drivers can also opt for one of two optional engines: a 6.4-liter V8 that generates 410 horsepower and 429 pound-foot of torque and comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, or a 6.4-liter turbodiesel V8 that makes 350 horsepower and 660 pound-foot of torque when paired to a six-speed manual transmission and 370 horsepower and 800 pound-foot of torque when matched with the six-speed automatic. As far as safety is concerned, the 2500 comes equipped with four-wheel antilock disc brakes, front seat airbags, side curtain airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a rearview camera. In industry tests, it came to a stop from 60 mph in 136-144 feet. Features inside the cabin vary depending on trim level, but drivers will find air-conditioning, cruise control, power accessories, a power locking tailgate, power heated mirrors, keyless entry, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a 5-inch touchscreen interface, and more!
