Dodge has launched the all-new 2023 Dodge Hornet, delivering the quickest, fastest, most potent CUV under $30,000. The Hornet blows up the compact utility vehicle segment, the fastest-growing vehicle segment. The Hornet offers a combination of muscular styling wrapped around best-in-class standard performance that only Dodge could produce. A unique new exterior Hornet badge on the fender celebrates the revival of the Hornet. A name first used on the famed Hudson Hornet in the 1950s and again in 2006 as a popular Dodge concept vehicle. Dodge has loaded the Hornet with excellent options, everything from a multi-energy powertrain roster and a swarm of class-exclusive performance features.

Quickest, Fastest, Most Powerful Compact Utility Vehicle

R/T Performance

The Dodge Hornet R/T combines the power of its 1.3L Turbo engine, delivering an estimated 285 combined horsepower and 383 pound-feet of total torque, and shaving 1 second off its own 0-60 mph launch time.

GT Performance

The 2023 Hornet GT hits the streets for the first time with a crown already on its head. Enable Sport Mode right on the steering wheel button and uncover why the Hornet earned Best-in-Class power-to-weight ratio.

Dodge DNA Inside and Out

Performance at Your Fingertips

The ignition control is positioned prominently on the accent-painted finish console. Additional performance controls are placed at the fingertips with a button on the performance-oriented flat-bottom steering wheel that enables drivers to choose between Sport and Standard drive modes for the GT and hybrid driving modes for the R/T, keeping the driver connected to the car.

Premium Interior Touches

The class exclusive Alcantara seats come embroidered with the Dodge Rhombi logo on the Track Pack option. The racing oriented Alcantara seats feature unique "red crust" accents that visually burst out and gradually fade, highlighting the unique Alcantara seat perforation. Dodge made sure to offer red leather seats for those seeking more attitude on the inside.

Designed to Impress

Unmistakably Dodge

The muscular lines of the bodyside are the matte black molded-in color lower cladding and valances. The Hornet R/T receives unique new Abyss-painted lower cladding and rear valance with integrated dual exhaust ports. The signature Headlamp lighting is unmistakably Dodge.

Unique Badging

A unique new exterior Hornet badge on the fender celebrates the revival of the Hornet. The rear R/T badge features a unique easter egg in relief that teases the model's electrified nature. An additional exterior feature is an external panel sunroof that gives the Hornet a fun, open-air feel.

JOIN THE SWARM

The identity of the all-new 2023 Dodge Hornet shines through at the rear, with a taillamp that extends the width of the vehicle and features a lighted red signature, as well as an illuminated Dodge Rhombi logo in the center.

All Business Attitude

The front of the 2023 Dodge Hornet GT incorporates a "mail slot"-style grille opening sculpted into the fascia, reinforcing the horizontal brow of the upper grille and lamp graphics, creating a serious, all-business demeanor.

What engine comes in the Dodge Hornet GT?

Dodge's electrified transformation has leaped off the starting line, with the all-new Dodge Hornet R/T representing Dodge's first electrified performance vehicle. In addition, the Hornet R/T is Dodge's first plug-in hybrid. The R/T is powered by a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder and an electric motor that work together to produce 285 horsepower. The Hornet R/T PHEV holds extra "sting" in reserve, ready to be unleashed through a class exclusive PowerShot feature that boosts 25 extra horsepower and delivers instant torque. Dodge has paired this powertrain with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The Hornet GT is propelled by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 265 horsepower and comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is optional. This powerplant will motivate the Hornet to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

How long does it take to charge the Dodge Hornet?

The Hornet R/T offers more than 30 miles of all-electric range. An electric induction motor powers the rear axle. Power is further optimized by a 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that comes with a refrigerant cooling circuit to keep the battery at its optimum temperature. In addition, the high-power inverter and 7.4-kW charging module allow for the Hornet R/T to go from an empty battery to fully charged in just 2.5 hours using a Level 2 charger.

Which performance features are standard on the Dodge Hornet?

Whether you choose the Hornet GT or the Hornet R/T, they both come with a swarm of class-exclusive and best-in-class performance features that optimize driving dynamics, such as suspension, braking, steering, and handling performance. The class-exclusive Koni frequency selective damping shocks improve handling and ride comfort and are standard on the R/T and GT models. The Hornet is the only vehicle in its class to offer Brembo four-piston front fixed calipers. The class-exclusive dual-stage-valve suspension provides driver-selectable suspension damping and can be customized while behind the wheel. Drivers gain this suspension by adding the available Track Pack.
