It’s almost that time of year again—that’s right, football season. Here at Gillman Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM, we know all about your anticipation for one of the most exciting times of the year. One of our favorite aspects of football season is—without a doubt—tailgating before the big game! Or maybe you're in love with the other classic American sport-- baseball!-- in which case you've probably been following the Houston Texans (and if not, here's their season schedule, because you should be!). But no matter which sport or team you follow, here are some pointers on how to tailgate the right way this season:
Show up early
There’s really nothing worse than showing up late to the tailgate. So the night before game day, remember to set your alarm clocks early and load up the car with all your tailgate gear. That way, you can get a head start bright and early to find the perfect tailgating spot.
Wear your favorite team’s gear
Whether you’re cheering for the home or the away team, make sure you rock your favorite jersey or team apparel! You’ll look great and fit right in when you wear your team’s gear and show off your pride before, during, and after the game.
Don’t forget the food
A tailgate isn’t quite a tailgate without great food—it’s a must at every tailgate. Make sure you’ve packed and prepared all the hamburgers, brats, chips, dips, and snacks that you want to enjoy at your tailgate. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to load up the cooler with ice and all of your favorite tailgate drinks!
Bring the entertainment
Of course, you’ve got to have some entertainment at your tailgate, right? Whether you’re playing music from your RAM truck or your stereo system, make sure you’re playing your favorite tunes at your tailgate! And we can’t forget to mention games! Make sure you’ve packed your favorite tailgate games—just like cornhole—to keep everyone entertained.
