The classic and iconic 2016 Jeep Wrangler led the way in sales volume for Jeep during May 2016, recording sales of 19,551 vehicles. It was followed by the stylish and sleek 2016 Jeep Cherokee which tallied sales of 19,551 vehicles, and the powerful, luxurious, and legendary 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee which tallied sales of 18,856 vehicles for its best May monthly sales performance in 16 years.
The sporty and fun to drive 2016 Jeep Patriot and the exciting and innovative 2016 Jeep Renegade followed with sales of 12,864 vehicles and 10,868 respectively. Both models reported record sales for the month, with the 2016 Jeep Renegade gaining an incredible 146 percent compared to last year.
Overall, Jeep posted their best sales month ever and notched 32 straight months of gains. Jeep reported a 14 percent gain on sales of 90,545 vehicles during May 2016, up from sales of 79,652 vehicles a year ago. Jeep also increased their year-to-date sales total to 384,440 vehicles, a 16 percent gain compared to the same period last year during which the automaker tallied sales of 330,160 vehicles.
