There’s a new Dodge Challenger in town: the all-new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The new model is expected to hit dealership lots later this year, but the hype for this new performance car has got us here at Gillman Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM anticipating its release.

After its debut during the recent New York Auto Show, a lot of excitement has surrounded the Dodge Demon, and for good reason. The new Dodge Challenger will be powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V8 engine that will produce the highest horsepower of any production car: a whopping 840 horsepower.

Other accolades the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is already receiving is the highest G-force by a production car at 1.8 Gs, having performed the first wheelie by a production car, and the world’s fastest production car. The Dodge Demon has the fastest 0-60 rate of just 2.3 seconds.

If all this isn’t impressive enough, the Dodge Demon is also capable of producing 770 lb.-ft. of torque and can reach a quarter-mile in just 9.65 seconds at a speed of 140 mph, making it the world’s fastest quarter-mile from a production car.

There’s a downside to all this excitement though--the automaker announced it is only releasing 3,000 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons in the U.S. market later this fall. That means for those drivers anxious to get behind the wheel of this performance vehicle, you have to act fast…even faster than the car itself.

While we patiently wait for the Dodge Demon to be released, you can find other great performance cars on our lot, like the 2017 Dodge Charger or the 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
